The Challenge

As a new brand, our key challenge was to establish a niche positioning within the crowded skincare market for AlumierMD to thrive. Sold via professionals only, we were required to leverage our industry network supporting the brand in securing their distribution channels before launching to consumer and driving demand and brand awareness on a public level. Paramount to success was creating a strong brand story, identifiable USPs and consistency cross-platform to ensure AlumierMD launched into the market with a bang.

Our Strategy

Ahead of the official launch, RKM supported AlumierMD in outlining a strategy to market including positioning the brand within a new market category – luxury medical, establishing brand tone of voice, story and USPs as well as supporting their route to market by utilising our expansive network within the medical aesthetics industry. Our launch was two-pronged with key events held with the trade, bringing together the UK’s leading clinics and industry publications, as well as consumer press, introducing AlumierMD as a new, exciting brand to market. We implemented a 360° media strategy to build brand awareness, establish media trust and drive editorial, ultimately resulting in increased brand demand both in B2B and B2C.

In just over a year since launching, AlumierMD have become a prominent player in the cosmeceutical skincare market, stocked in hundreds of the UK’s leading clinics. Editorial has been secured in the brand’s key target publications including Harper’s Bazaar, Grazia, marie claire, Stylist, Tatler, Stella, YOU, The Telegraph, Get The Gloss, ELLEuk.com and among influencers from In The Frow to Eat.Wear.Travel.
